2008-08-06 04:37:00 | I have seen it many times in the supermarket. The husband following the wife while he pushes the trolley. She loads it to groaning point (the trolley - and the husband as it becomes heavier) and commiserations (to others) such as, You poor bastard, does not seem enough. Besides, youre in the same situation. I was reasonably certain that I was not the only one, but to see other husbands that have been relegated to the same lowly status as I, it is gratifying to know that I am not alone. Us husbands are a sorry lot.:crying Footnote: No prizes, but do you remember who said that?

Pushing the trolly means you get a nice quiet stroll around the supermarket, don't have to worry about filling the damn thing up, and yet she can't claim you weren't any help. She forgot the mustard? Not your fault, you were busy pushing the trolly ... |

2008-08-06 06:07:00 | I spent the afternoon in the garden before SWMBO got home and said the dreaded "S" word Not to bad though, I was pretty knackered so I leaned on the trolley a lot and looked at the chicks - not the frozen ones either. Ken :banana

2008-08-06 07:28:00 | Pushing and even filling the trolley is bad enough. It's the ritual just after the damn thing gets emptied that knocks me about. | R2x1 (4628) | |
2008-08-06 08:30:00 | My husband is obviously not as well trained as you guys, as he disappears without permission (still pushing the trolley), and leaves me stranded with arms full of groceries. However, he can always be found inspecting the liquor department. heh! | Oldferix (5581) | |
