| 820588 | 2009-10-14 20:33:00 | Seems like the card has reverted to 2D or died altogether. There is flickering when scrolling and general poor performance when viewing videos. Only Windows Media player seems to work and other viewers such as Nero Showtime will no longer show videos (sound only). Has the system reverted to the OS installed Microsoft driver? Also the card/display adaptor does not show at all under Device Manager. Is it possible to test the video RAM on the card and if so, how? Any advice appreciated. |

In the device manager, is there an entry for something like a CPU to AGP controller under system devices? |

| 820591 | 2009-10-14 20:49:00 | Display adaptors entry is missing altogether in device manager. Am unable to answer your second question at present as I am at work at the moment. Downloaded the latest drivers without result. It is as if the card is not there at all. Options previously associated with the card such as Nvidia desktop controller/options no longer work from control panel and Nvidia options previously appearing under right click mouse options are gone. | Dadzka (6620) | ||

I'd say more likely than not there will be an entry for a (via) CPU to AGP controller under the System Devices. If there is, uninstall it and reboot, when the PC restarts if you're lucky your display adapters entry will have come back, and you can install the latest drivers. This happens a lot with the MX cards if you do something like a repair-reinstall and the drivers don't get installed properly. There are obviously other ways it can happen too, but give that a go and see what happens. |

| 820594 | 2009-10-15 05:25:00 | Thanks wratterus - deleted the entry under CPU to AGP controller, rebooted and display adaptor entry returned under Device Manager. Installed new drivers successfully and rebooted. All seems to be working OK. Many thanks. |
