695631 2008-08-07 11:10:00 After doing some thorough research on TV Tuners I have narrowed my options to there two tuners:

Leadtek WinFast DTV Dongle (www.ascent.co.nz)
or
Pinnacle PCTV NanoStick (www.ascent.co.nz)

I am having a hard time trying to decide which one to get, but I currently favour the pinnacle nanostick for its compact size. Both say something about being able to receive freeview, does this mean I can watch freeview and watch the olmpic games? And will it have a clear image?

695632 2008-08-07 22:17:00 How fast is your computer or graphics card? If you're going to be watching HD, it needs to be decoded fast enough. utopian201 (6245)
695633 2008-08-07 22:23:00 Have you got an HD monitor?? If not you may still be able to watch whatever.

BUT not in HD. It may depend on how good your aerial is (if you use the aerial).

On how good the pic will be

1680x1050 won't do Full HD (1080p or i), but will easily do 720p. :)

695638 2008-08-08 05:57:00 What resolution's 720p? Blam (54)
695639 2008-08-08 05:58:00 1280x720 IIRC. pcuser42 (130)
695640 2008-08-08 09:36:00 I've bought the Pinnacle Nanostick because of it its tiny form form factor. This better be able to receive freeview so I can watch the olympic games!
Hope its compatible with MediaPortal
