| 821279 | 2009-10-16 20:58:00 | My neighbor has the following error in WXP: Security accounts manager failed.Following error,the handle is invalid. Error status oxcoooooo8. I have tried getting in to safe mode but it just boots back to the above. Tried SuperGrub Tried linux live CD but it will not boot. The $100 per hour IT man is ordered for Monday if I can't solve it by then. |

Alternatively, you can perform an offline system restore of the registry using an UBCD4Win or manually in Recovery Console. If the linux live CD doesn't boot then you either haven't changed the boot order properly, or something is wrong with you CD, or the DVD/CD Drive is faulty. I feel the so called techi who sold her the box has set this up to get a call out.As she has been given no XP disk. My xp pro disk will not boot either but her OS is XPHome. |
