| 820836 | 2009-10-15 05:20:00 | im having a problem with my usb ports. when ever i plug in a usb device in it says that "usb device not recognised" they were working earlier but now none of my three ports work. i've tried a pen drive, external harddrive, and a mouse. all getting the same error. any help would be appreciated! --david. |

| 820837 | 2009-10-15 05:42:00 | Remove all USB controllers and related drivers from Device Manager in safe-mode. And see if it will fix itself. If not chances are your USB controller is fried. Back in the day you could get PCI expansion cards for USB, you might still find them. (Did you come out of sleep for this to happen? If so, not one to state the obvious but reboot and see if it changes.) |
