| 696649 | 2008-08-21 04:29:00 | And another discovery: Yet more proof that climate does change over time (hotter AND colder, wetter AND drier), man is not responsible for it, and it's all part of a natural cycle... Quite right Jo,but how you convince that school,I don't know. |

Instead of events in Beijing having to be cancelled because of pollution, it seems we are set for a record number of World Records . Imagine if all these athletes could have breathed fresh air . |

I can think of much worse things that could be labeled "over the top". Like a NZ'er being sent to court for clipping the ears of his 2 sons. Would you call me "over the top" if i was to call a Maori a Native to Aotearoa? |

I've no problem with what you want to call people. That i's entirely up to you. What intere'st's me i's why you felt the need to "correct" Joe's po'st. For 'some rea'son, you have a problem with Indian's being called Indian's. |

I don't necessarily have a problem with it, considering there is a whole ****ING island of people already called Indians. And you are only making yourself look stupid with the over exaggeration of putting apostrophes in places where they shouldn't be. How old are you? 9? |

All of a 'sudden you're an expert on where apo'strophe's 'shouldn't go? Don't make me laugh. How old are you? 9? 13. |

| 696655 | 2008-08-22 01:34:00 | Apologies for interrupting the off-topic angst, just thought we could return to the topic. The major problem human life faces on Earth is pollution. We are poisoning the environment. We are also killing more biological material than can be replaced at its natural rate. If that goes on, the ecosystem will collapse. A quick example is Easter Island which used to be covered in trees and supported a healthy population. Until they cut down all the trees. When it was discovered by Europeans there were 50 starving islanders left alive. The modern example is the acidification of the ocean. CO2 when dissolved in water makes water acidic. Marine organisms such as coral, shell-fish and plankton use calcium carbonate to make shells and skeletons. If the water around them is acid....... Pour coke, or vinegar on a piece of marble and watch. It dissolves. Ocean food-chain collapses = fishing gone = larger sea mammals gone, sea birds etc etc. |

Youre going to have to pour a hell of a lot of Coke and Vinegar into the ocean to make it so acidic that shell fish would be effected . Oh dear . :D   :crying |

| 696658 | 2008-08-22 01:51:00 | You are just arguing with yourself now roddy_boy. You outlined that i put an apostrophe in the wrong place. Ok, i did wrong. I shrugged it off and continued on with the subject and now you are behaving like a complete asshat carrying it on. And at what point did i make myself out to be an expert? I just simply said you look stupid because you are acting like an imbecile. Actually just STOP...look. You are getting all authoritative about a flippin apostrophe. Get over it. I have. |
