820898 2009-10-16 07:58:00 I wonder what the framerates would be like with that graphics card and all the other upgrades? convair (13650)

820900 2009-10-16 08:02:00 In various posts you had a budget of $900 for a new PC box.

This is why I asked what you currently have so that an upgrade may be done.

Getting the required information is like getting blood out of a stone.

Just how do you expect people that want to help can give you valid advice?

I've set the limiter within FS2004 to 35fps. The lowest I have had is 25fps.

820902 2009-10-16 08:16:00 That is not bad, after all we were all happy at the movies at 24 fps;) KarameaDave (15222)
820903 2009-10-16 08:24:00 Heres what I want to add

A new CPU that is faster than what I currently have.

A larger power supply to replace the small 350 watt PSU that I currently have.

Some more RAM for better performance

And a bigger hard drive to replace the current.

820904 2009-10-16 08:30:00 Can we try to keep to the budget. Its good to try and see what can be done with what I currently but the graphics card will be the very last thing that will replace.

I'm mainly looking at processor power and more RAM and a larger hard drive. Also a better a better power supply.

The processor I linked to will be more than enough.

The graphics card is what you *should* be focusing on, you need to game!

The first thing you could replace is the graphic card.

But don't worry about the advice given as you may ignore it anyway.
