820946 2009-10-16 01:36:00 I had a working USB drive on 2003 server stop working one day after an unclean shutdown. I had to go into the registry to delete the key and reboot in order to reset functionality to the device...just trying to find the details.....

820947 2009-10-16 01:36:00 ok now i think we are getting somewhere (well i hope so....). heres what it said. down the bottom you can see the unknown device thingy and it gives invalid hardare stuff. not sure what to do now

the shutdown didnt help at all. same problem. your registry idea though. how do i go about doing that? coz that sounds like it could be promising since whenever i startup it says that there is an unknown device attached... when obviously there isn't 		caviliar (15021)
