We all know not to trust photographs nowadays, as they can be easily "Photoshopped". Now it looks like the same will apply to video too.

From my dark ages manual photograpy years, I seem to remember the excersise where we had to photograph a white sheet and a black sheet. On autoexposure from a close up reading, we got 2 negatives that would print as grey. Incorrect! Taking a reading from a 18% grey card, would give 2 perfect negatives - printing as a pure black and pure white. (assuming correct development rules were followed)

Once again, I ask if we are to dependant on electronics taking over our thinking for us?
