| 698399 | 2008-08-21 03:29:00 | When the NZBC TV channel in Wellington had its studio in the city there was a "wire mattress" on the side of one of the nearby tall buildings (all of 5 or 6 stories -- I saw this in 1963) , used to reflect the microwave link to the transmitter. A Lamphouse brush antenna wouldn't have helped with that. Indeed Graham the versatility of the wirewove knew no bounds. When set up as a "ground plane aerial" it could also be used to sift soil for the garden as well. ;) |
