697622 2008-08-16 23:02:00 Thanks everyone for your help – guess the easiest thing to do is to get a new TV but realistically would probably not get it through the committee!
A couple of questions:
Does MySky HDi have any other video outputs other than 1080?
Is it possible to get a convertor from 1080 to component video?!
Thanks

697624 2008-08-18 01:40:00 Yeah I think the easiest (and cheapest) way would be to get a device that removes the HDCP and run the signal through that.

Similar to the devices you can get that remove macrovision signals from DVD/VHS

Something like http://www.hdfury.com/ would do it - as long as your TV has a standard VGA input - but even if not I'm sure there are other devices which will do the same thing and have different outputs.
