| 699730 | 2008-08-23 06:42:00 | Hi Guys, Can someone tell me what voltage cigarrete lighters in cars are? Are they the same voltage and type and stuff as the molex power in computers? Cos im planning to try put sound ctrl neons from my pc in my car. Thanks |

Typically if there's over .013 VAC ripple on the DC it can cause havoc with the electronics of the car too. Don't forget spikes and surges when you turn on or off anything that's related to the car too...heater fans, radiator cooling fans, AC clutch, wipers, power seats, heater/AC divertor motors and solenoids etc...etc... They'll cause a momentary glitch and can mess up your project. |

Most of the time it will be close to 14 volts with the engine running, and around 12 volts while the engine is stopped. Alas, neon lights of any colour won't qualify your car as a hybrid even on a good day. Regardless of rumours, neons will only use a little more fuel and limit your top speed a tiny bit, hardly measurable. |

Alas, neon lights of any colour won't qualify your car as a hybrid even on a good day. Regardless of rumours, neons will only use a little more fuel and limit your top speed a tiny bit, hardly measurable. I disagree. With the recent insight pertaining to and in the cumulative evaluations of the §[["M Theory"]], dark matter and the fact that the voids between photons are really Dark Matter II in a brilliant and new master theory of §[[Five Superstring Theories]]~§[[Chris Hull]], §[[Ashoke Sen]] at the conference at §[[The University Of California]], it is suggested that any forward emission of photons from neon gaseous propagation {see: Angstrom Units | The New Massiveness ~ © Harpers & Kinnelon, ca 2006:02:05 Lib/Cong. [[The University Of Redlands, CA., ibid, et al]]) excitement will slow the vehicle down in forward acceleration. This explains a number of §[[Dualities]] of previously observed- not observed semi-dualities and sparking a flurry of new research called §[[The Second Superstring Revolution]] ergo ie: §[[Time Travel]]. Then there's all those Strings getting caught up in the gears and cosmic continuum of the vehicle, not to mention hanging on to stationary but passing inanimate relatives §[[Relativity | What Your Mother Never Told You: Hardcourt & Brace, ca 1999,]] other non-animated objects, hampering acceleration to approx §[[99.9675% of lightspeed]], slowing it down...unless "down" is somehow relativity different in Upsidedown Land where the mobius is then moved to the left side of the pathway and therefor of more resistance. :waughh: |
