823431 2009-10-23 08:50:00 Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone can replicate a problem I'm having, or might know anything about it.

On iTunes 9 I can access the music store. If I click on links from the front page I can go to albums etc. However if I try to search for a particular item, iTunes doesn't freeze up, but it goes into an endless 'accessing itunes store' message.

I'm using windows 7 64bit.

Cheers

823432 2009-10-23 09:00:00 I clicked on home / albums then search (top right corner), then typed something in. It was fine, the albums came up Speedy Gonzales (78)
823433 2009-10-23 09:05:00 Well I just tried going to the music store 'music' section forst, but still no luck. Have found some posts on the apple support pages, but nothing resolved. I just updated to latest version, but that didn't fix it either. GorCh (13021)
823434 2009-10-24 04:17:00 I can't even get to the store, keeps saying that the server is down, but its been saying that for a couple of weeks. I assume its an iTunes problem.

Bummer really as I'm behind with my podcasts !

Will have to google it for a solution.

823435 2009-10-24 05:38:00 OK, for me it was a firewall problem.

Win7 have a built in firewall ?

823437 2009-10-24 06:03:00 Its working fine currently, using windows 7 Itunes Version 9.0.1.8 - downloading a few songs the Better half wants. wainuitech (129)
823438 2009-10-25 05:30:00 Adding an exception to the W7 firewall fixed it for my sister, but its a bit weird as I have the exact same version of Itunes on my PC with W7 and its fine. Blam (54)
823439 2009-10-25 06:27:00 Ok sweet that worked. Cheers. Should have thought of that but seeing as it just started happening without updates I didn't think of it. GorCh (13021)
