| 822639 | 2009-10-21 08:50:00 | forums.pcworld.co.nz In post #2 & 6 Balm and myself suggested the same program that would do this -- If you created a folder on the server, added in 3 more folders, 1 for each person, then from their PC's use the software to make backups to the server (which is what was asked). Another progarm I use a LOT of in customers LAN's as well as my own is HandyBackup (www.handybackup.com) - Its not free, ( one time payment) but it does do what you want, it will backup any file, and there's a plug in for Outlook. According to the advise in the thread above we did buy HandyBackup, 1- How can I configure a program within one created task (called Email_Backup_Forum) for each week to do a full back up once a week and then incremental backups for rest of that week ? For instance for week ending Sunday 04/10/2009,,,,I need one fullback and 6 incremental backups For instance for week ending Sunday 11/10/2009,,,,I need one fullback and 6 incremental backups For week ending Sunday 18/10/2009,,,,I need one fullback and 6 incremental backups For week ending Sunday 25/10/2009,,,,I need one fullback and 6 incremental backups And so on 2- What would the good practical advice for how long you have to accumulate a backup ? Thanks |
