I reckon my broadband wouldnt be much better www.speedtest.net/result/315399361.png Well, I really don't know what it is, I've seen people with speeds as slow as that from Xtra but then again, if you're on plans: Basic, Go, Explorer or Adventure I can say it's easy to guess speeds could be that as the bare minimum. I'd like to see someone post here who is either on Telecom Go Express, Pro or above (the "faster" plans from Telecom Xtra) with their speedtest results to find out if I'm just on some lucky streak or something (I'm on "Pro"). Even my proof: www.speedtest.net and that's in traffic hours, as it mostly goes to 7.5Mbps down so I have no idea, because the speed has never been lower than 6000Kbps, weird when Xtra is "bottom of the barrel". |

| 700335 | 2008-08-31 10:44:00 | If you don't believe me, download Isposure and compare the sets of data between the service providers - such as Telecom's Pro Advanced and Telstraclear's highest. I don't believe you. I neither know nor care what isposure is either - I live in the real world, where what I actually care about is whether my connection does what I need it to do. That, in my opinion, is the measure of a decent service. However... as you seem to like speedtests, here's mine (www.speedtest.net). Don't even try telling me that these plans you are spamming can beat that. That is a standard TelstraClear residential cable connection in Wellington, on their 10m/2m plan. |

| 700337 | 2008-09-04 03:34:00 | This is all very strange, yet, my speeds remain at 7Mbps but yesterday the upload speeds decreased again to 200Kbps (should be 540Kbps at least) but Telecom is Telecom, so I rebooted the modem and gained new IP settings . Now I don't know what to say but Woot, got very good speeds, neither my down or up speeds have reached what is shown in the link below: . speedtest . net/result/318058746 . png" target="_blank">www . speedtest . net |

| 700340 | 2008-09-23 19:08:00 | 6.37am Telecom/Xtra (A not limited to 128Kbps plan but actual speeds will vary) www.speedtest.net In the busy hours the download speed drops to the 11,000's while the (decent) upload speed remains the same. I'll do another test this evening. Isposure claim my line speed is 12.23Mbs, tested four times, it seems high for an 8Mbit plan, but I guess it's still Max/Max after all - who knows. |
