If your internet speed is very great, spammer, I don't know what you'd call mine.

Not bad speeds by NZ standards.

700323 2008-08-28 06:05:00 One of my family members tried to ask Telecom by phone about this crappy 1-Anytime and they wern't helpful, so we hung up.
Telecom = Telescum

The only reason I use them as my ISP is because of the extreme speeds I get from it, otherwise I'd go Orcon or Telstraclear.

After resetting the Telecom D-Link modem by a computer setting, my speeds finally go up into the 7Mbps zone, where it should be - where as the max down speed for my plan is capped at 7600Kbps Down, and 768Kbps up, but before tonight and the reset, it never passed 7Mbps. Did a speedtest at auditmypc...

Download - 7153Kbps
Upload - 604.5Kbps

One other thing, are these Telecom staff reside in India or something? Because the service was so crap, and hearing that from my family is even worse than the time I heard that Telecom's staff are actually talking to us from Manila, Philipinnes. :(

What the hell is wrong with Xtra? It pretty much sucks to crap unless your on the Pro plans and above which upload speeds are not limited to 128Kbps and reach 768Kbps if you're lucky (most get 600Kb/s) as my one is . Weird how the service sucks, the Basic, Go, Explorer and Adventure plans are slow and then the Pro plans and above are proven to be the "fastest" home Broadband in the country along with Orcon's fastest just behind . It's the only god damn reason I'm with Telecom, (Pro plan) because it's very fast . I have tried other providers as well as the Go and Explorer Telecom plans - all suffered except my current plan .

Another factor for you to consider is that maybe there are many Xtra Broadband users in your area .

700326 2008-08-29 20:16:00 Xtra does not have users, it has waiters. R2x1 (4628)
700327 2008-08-29 21:16:00 ...the Pro plans and above are proven to be the "fastest" home Broadband in the country...Bullshit - when was the last time you took a look at what TelstraClear was offering? Specifically their InHome plans. Erayd (23)

If you don't believe me, download Isposure and compare the sets of data between the service providers - such as Telecom's Pro Advanced and Telstraclear's highest. I've already done it to prove, but I know Telstraclear will soon pass Orcon and Telecom's fastest speeds. And for the life, never use Ihug or Slingshot as they are slow - the unlimited Kiwi Broadband for that $9.95 per month is automatically a come and pass for me.

700329 2008-08-29 23:44:00 You say Xtra give you the fastest service?

Have you tried it with an electric computer?

Whatever .

Yes, that's what I'm saying - and the computer is Windows Vista Home Premium . I also said just the Pro and above plans that go up to 768Kbps rather than the crappy 128Kbps
