Thats OK, I am good at ignoring jerks like him. Geez, Watterus, yours beats mine I think. :horrified |

| 699256 | 2008-08-22 00:59:00 | Thats OK, I am good at ignoring jerks like him. That's all you can do. It doesn't bother me at all, some people clearly have issues. In fact, I can almost enjoy it sometimes, when people are angry like that they are completely irrational. Geez, Watterus, yours beats mine I think. :horrified Call it a draw. :D |

| 699259 | 2008-08-22 01:35:00 | Some people indeed. :groan: I had a very similar thing happen the other day. Chap came in with a Vista HB machine, he said it was going slow and wouldn't connect to his wireless. It only had 512MB RAM, so I discussed this with him, explained that vista needs at least a gig to run OK, he was fine with that, so we agreed on adding a gig, lappy ran great after that. Also installed Vista SP1. It wouldn't connect to our wireless either, after updating the driver it was sweet as. He picked it up, took it home and tried 'connecting' to his wireless. He called up about a half hour later, swearing his face off, I paid you $120 f**king dollars to fix my laptop, it still doesn't f**king work...on and on and on. When I finally managed to get a word in, I said I'm sorry it isn't working, it was working fine in the office as you saw, but I'm more than happy to help you resolve this issue over the phone.. He cut me off and began swearing again, and he said I'm f**king coming down there, you can take this f**king laptop that you've f**ked back and fix it properly. So.. OK. 10 mins later, he comes in, still swearing, literally throws the laptop down in front of me and says f**king fix it. So I turned it on, connected fine to our wireless, so I showed him how to connect to a network. Turned out he simply turned it on and expected it to connect by itself, password and everything. So he took it home, never heard from him again. No thanks or apology. Dork. Sounds like something out of http://notalwaysright.com/ |
