| 822545 | 2009-10-21 01:31:00 | You wouldn't be taking Microsoft to court as you bought an OEM copy of Vista on an HP laptop. You would have to take the shop where you bought it from to court as they were the one that sold you the laptop. |

| 822547 | 2009-10-21 01:33:00 | Yes I remember The WOW starts now hype. I am still waiting for a truly useful and cutting edge Vista Ultimate Extra. Guess I'll be waiting till Hell freezes over.:rolleyes: Good luck with the claim! |

If you are using Vista Ultimate you could have a case, as it was supposed to come with a whole lot of extra stuff in the future, which was never delivered by microsoft. I believe all people who purchased Vista Ultimate, should be given a free copy of windows 7, as that would probably cover the extras, that Microsoft never delivered in the original product. | robbyp (2751) | ||

Guess I'll be waiting till Hell freezes over.:rolleyes: Good luck with the claim! Microsoft was sneaky, and changed that description in the service pack. Now, when you go to that page in windows, it just says the extras extend windows features, or makes windows more fun. Very sneaky and dishonest of microsoft. |

| 822550 | 2009-10-21 01:43:00 | Almost in the same boat, My Vista laptop has double the specs of my XP laptop and is slower. I have ripped the guts out of her to remove the HP branded bloat but she is still slower then an install that never had that crap in it. Opening up a folder with a 100 high res shots in it is just plain hard work, as is moving large files anywhere, or launching heavy apps. When I get around to it I'll install XP, It will be a huge performance upgrade. |

| 822551 | 2009-10-21 01:44:00 | I know, that's why I kept a screenshot of it, as it really peed me off at the time! | KarameaDave (15222) | ||
| 822552 | 2009-10-21 01:50:00 | I know, that's why I kept a screenshot of it, as it really peed me off at the time! I am surprised that noone has taken them to task about that. In NZ, that could be a breach of the fair trading act, by Microsoft, as you haven't got what you paid for. I suspect there have been some confidential settlements. |
