822766 2009-10-21 21:21:00 Hi, i am simulating a degraded mirrored RAID array by removing the sata cable from one 320Gb hdd and uninstalled one program, rebooted and plugged the sata cable back in, now it is going to take 10 hours to rebuild.... are you serious... 10 hours, that is rediculous

Has any one else tried this??

Whay does it take so long?
Imagine if i used 1tb drives :crying

it is a clean install of windows server 2003 on a P4 3.0 ghz using a sataraid5 RAID card with no unusual programs running in the background (except windows lol).

822768 2009-10-21 21:41:00 That sounds about right for RAID1.
I have had to rebuild a few and had to leave them overnight to finish.
