1445042 2018-01-19 00:39:00 Shes only taking 6 weeks . Luckily it's 2018 and not 1970 :)

Good point about the Deputy PM. Makes the deputy role seem pointless if Winnie doesnt become acting PM .... and he wont be allowed to .

I am what you would refer to as a 'righty whinger' but alas I don't see anything to twist the (not useless) Jockeys over.

Maybe Prefect will inspire me when he gets here.

Just getting my licks in first, having been called a lefty whinger (and considerably worse)
throughout the Key/English debacle years, I felt it must be my turn to dish some out.

I'm not sure calling us "righty whinger" is doing you and I any favours. More objectively, we tend to be more pragmatic and less verbose than most on this forum, a behavioural pattern of left / right communications that perpetuates itself throughout the world.

Objectivity? All the bestest of best wishes to the happy couple from most kiwis, regardless of political persuasion.

Don't like turnabout?
But it's supposed to be fair play, isn't it?

Fair play? Absolutely. I'm not crying in my beer because Nats stuffed it up, that's what pragmatic means ... the Nats did stuff up and I accept that. We're now stuck with Labour - as we are with MMP - rightly or wrongly, better or worse; that's the way the country voted. So be it.

Let's get on with it and hope the new government - as any - doesn't make too many more stuff ups along the way.

And let's hope for the best for New Zild. That's what it's about.
