| 1444754 | 2018-01-11 22:36:00 | I have heard that truckstops sell cheaper diesel than service stations. Is that correct? And can I use my Visa card as well? And what about Truck Friendly Service Stations? Is their diesel as cheap as well? The reason I ask is that we are doing a two month tour of the South Island in our diesel powered motorhome and obviously want fuel as cheap as possible. Your help is appreciated. Thank you.:) |

There are other truck stops and I believe they are cheaper but you need a fuel card to use them. |

You can use the BP Me app and look at the different locations and read what features they support. The truck customers have an account and they get certain cents discount off what the sign says. The larger the customer the larger the discount. Your average motorist won't have that. They get certain cents off truckstop and they get certain cents off a normal petrol service station. The discount may be different between the two. Maybe truckstop discount higher so it frees up the space for normal motorists. |

Yep, naturally enough they won't let you enjoy a discount on an already bargain basement price. Best deal is still what R2X1 recommends. Just make sure the truck driver is not bigger than you. ;) |
