1444201 2017-12-30 19:08:00 OK - so I've d/loaded and started playing World of Warships .

Whenever I plug in my earbuds or headphones (and then unplug them) I get a message in the Notifications box beside the time and date on my toolbar telling me I've done this . At the top of the pop-up box it shows something like WINDOWS . EXPLORER . NOTIFICATION (2F3AEE) .

I generally know when I plug these in coz I can feel them in my ears and sound comes out, so I don't need to be told everytime .

Question is, where do I go to disable these notifications?

ps: Really? Who at MS decided that a user needs to be given notifications when they plug in earphones??

1444202 2017-12-30 20:07:00 In the search type in Notifications -- Turn them off.

Often the Audio software its self can cause a popup as well. There should be settings in the software to disable them.

Heres the one in my Realtek:
