| 1444983 | 2018-03-09 05:22:00 | the battery lasts a very long timeYeah I understand that with about half an hour use per day, with or without lighting, the battery will last many weeks, if not a couple months or more. And the re-charge time is just a few hours. This device is still very new to me but so far haven't found a single thing to complain about; nothing but positives. And as Marnie says, its absolutely perfect for me being mostly bed/couch ridden. Now just got to find somewhere to download free the entire works of Charles Dickens. Got Shakespear's, but so far can only find Dickens' in individual books. |

| 1444986 | 2018-03-09 19:38:00 | the battery lasts a very long time - enough to read several books depending how fast you are. as for downloading hundreds of books, with a good internet connection they only take a few seconds each Who reads in the bath? that's just weird - and not great for paper books either. . Well I can read an average book in 2-3 hrs. Speed is not the point, to download 100's cause you lost them, I do reread my books, and as I read quite quickly, it doesn't take long to go through a bunch of them. Download, read, download, read....nah....how annoying. And who doesn't read in a bath? Showers are for washing...baths are for relaxing in bubbles with a good book. |

| 1444988 | 2018-03-09 20:08:00 | You are entitled to prefer books, but you seem to be inventing issues where there aren't any. Download 100 books all at once if you want, won't take too long. Or just download the 3, or 4, or 10 that you want to read today - it takes longer to select them in the menu than it does to download them. Download, read, download read,.... yeah, not annoying at all actually rather straightforward and simple. Or back them all up on your PC if you prefer. The kindle gives you options. Books are great, but can you carry your entire library around in your bag and read them whenever you want? The kindle has it's advantages too. E-ink is great, seems like reading actual paper and is easy to read in direct sunlight unlike tablet screens. I have no problem with someone preferring books, but it seems like you haven't even touched a kindle and are ready to dismiss the whole Idea. If you don't want one, don't get one. Trust me though they are good devices. One thing that amused me slightly when I got my first kindle, I thought it had one of those stick on overlays on the screen with unpacking instructions. It didn't, that was the screen with instructions showing from the factory and the power off. E-ink screens only use power to change the display so they can leave a picture on it with the power off indefinitely. |

| 1444989 | 2018-03-09 20:15:00 | I have way over $USD3000 worth of books on my kindle I read one every 3 or 4 days and they cost around $USD10 to download, not one fiction book ever all avaition related and mostly military aviation. Lately I have run out of suitable books on search I want to read and I guess I will have to wait for people to write them. | prefect (6291) | ||
