Apparently I have no OS installed, and when I press F2 to run the HP diagnostics I have no hard drive either. How it can go from 100% happy last Sunday to a paperweight in 5 days is beyond me. |

I dont think a hdd can disappear altogether because of it MS will also block you from updating Windows, if the AV program isn't set up properly Fine by me, I dont use one |

| 1444454 | 2018-01-11 18:40:00 | hmmm.....according to HP on-line help this weekend I need to take the back off the lappie (which is unchartered territory) and re-seat the HD. And go from there. I'm pretty sure that will end well. |
