To change the voice If you type in Speech in search the options it there under text to speech. You can also change it in Narrator Settings ( again from search) As for downloading, how is it actually playing now ? Tried Amazon free books, but they required you to sign up to get it - Hmmmmmm. :( BUT if the voice is read by a real person and not a computer then you may not be able to change it. Example the Book Dracula, archive.org you cant change the persons voice. If I play the chapters, Internet Downloader pops up offering to save it, as mp3. |

I'm also trying to upload an image You don't need to save it, it should auto save when you close the window. What device are you using ???? ( since its got Mobile in the name) ? The desktop W10 doesn't have that here. |

I am using "Text to Speech" in Windows 10. What do you mean "The desktop W10 doesn't have that here because the image is from windows 10 |

On this desktop , two other desktops and one laptop, its only the name. (see pictures below) The desktops are boxes on the floor connected to monitors KB mouse etc. The word Mobile is a voice so there are 3 different voices. I got ReadAloud and install it but can't make it work. Is there any problem that I can use to make reading a book more clear than the Windows 10 default? The other 2 voices just won't play. |

| 1444473 | 2018-01-07 00:44:00 | Still got no idea as to why you have the word "mobile" after the names, even after installing ReadAloud it still shows as in my picture above. To use ReadAloud and make alterations -- open the program /app From the home Icon - open the Quick start guide - along the top you can alter the voice. ( icon to the right of the Pin) 8618 8619 Suggest you read the actual instructions along with the FAQ's 8620 I found it quite easy once you understand how it works. This is a Windows App still in development so it wont work on everything. BUT it can read aloud ( pun intended) :D PDF's docx and several other formats. 8621 So back to the original question - depends on how the book format is. If its PDF, simply open the reader, load it and away you go. Some places (possibly Amazon included) wont allow you to download it, others may offer different formats, some may charge some may not. Keep in mind as well, NO ONE can see or know what programs, alterations you have on your computer, so when asking for help pays to give as much info as possible, Eg: you installed ReadAloud and trying to use that ;) |
