701930 2008-09-02 01:29:00 Dear Abby

The other day I set off for work, leaving my husband home watching TV. I had only gone less than 1km when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt.
I walked back home only to find husband making love to the neighbour. He was let go from his job a while ago and says he has been depressed and feeling worthless.
What should I do?
Sincerely, Frustrated

Dear Frustrated
A car stalling can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Check there is no debris in the fuel line. If it's clear, check the clips holding the vacuum pipes onto the manifold inlet. Or it could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the carburettor.

Hope this helps.

701933 2008-09-02 02:54:00 What was Abby thinking? Anyone can see that this response should also have a "and refer to a mechanic if problem persists" clause. Fuel pumps and lines aren't straightforward! the_bogan (9949)

Haha, my own husband hasn't got a job because he works for himself and has done for some time. And He's not keen on either neighbour for that matter..........

I just found myself nodding to something you've said.

I think I'm going to have to go and have a sit down somewhere, because this is a revelation.

Esp, given the amount of times people recycle each others material, let alone stuff coming from other sites.
