824179 2009-10-25 21:19:00 Task: to clone a partition from HDD "A" to a partition in HDD "B"

It looks like I'm unable just to clone one partition to another partition; I can only clone the one whole HDD to another HDD!

Can someone enlighten me re the above?

I know Ghost 2003 could just clone one partition to another .

824180 2009-10-25 23:07:00 What you will probably need to do is create an image of the partition and store it on a secondary location, then restore it from there..

I do not have acronis so there may be an alternative method I do not know of

824181 2009-10-26 00:11:00 You are correct the clone HDD is designed to clone the lot to a new HDD.
Just back up the partition you want to the secondary location. That should achieve what you want.

I did create an image of the partition in another source and tried to restore from there but the process failed!
