| 823922 | 2009-10-25 01:02:00 | Bit of upgrade for me from the Compaq laptop I had before Installed windows 7 all good except I cant find drivers for camera or hotkey, Asus site only shows drivers for XP which dont/wont install Anywhere else I should look other than google? |

| 823923 | 2009-10-25 01:12:00 | Did you install 32 or 64 bit?? Just find a notebook / laptop with the same cam and hotkeys. Go into device manager for the cam, and go to the details tab. Change it to hardware ID's. Copy then post the hardware ID's that appear. Since it looks like there's more than 1 hardware ID for this cam. Did you try updating it through the driver / update driver option in device manager? Its either a chicony or D-max cam |

| 823925 | 2009-10-25 01:35:00 | Well thats a good ? What do you use for the hotkeys. Search for F3H top left. Select it, then select vista 64 bit. Then go to cam / chicony. Try the Chicony drivers here (support.asus.com) for the cam. See if they work. 04F2 (from the hardware ID you posted means its a chicony cam). | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

Its got [UVCFilter.NTamd64] %cecUVC.DeviceDesc% = cecUVC, USB\VID_04f2&PID_b012&MI_00 %cecUVC.DeviceDesc% = cecUVC, USB\VID_04f2&PID_b022&MI_00 %cecUVC.DeviceDesc% = cecUVC, USB\VID_04f2&PID_b025&MI_00 %cecUVC.DeviceDesc% = cecUVC, USB\VID_04f2&PID_b027&MI_00 In it, so should work. Go into device manager, double click on the cam entry / driver / update driver. Select browse the computer, go to this casflr file click on it. See what happens There's 64 bit drivers in it, dont know if Win7 will accept them tho. Have you done a check in windowsupdate, (from the menu), to see if a driver appears there? |

| 823931 | 2009-10-25 11:44:00 | Was Instantfun, the program you used before, for capturing? If it was, get it from the ASUS site again (support.asus.com). Just because its 32 bit it doesnt mean it wont install. That only applies to 64 bit (the drivers need to be 64 bit). Get the hotkey util from there too (If its a program). Or use something like Irfanview, that maybe able to capture video (I'm pretty sure it can). Under the import option. Any free / commercial graphics program, should be able to take snapshots of video | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
