What is the difference between a car and a computer?
It's the way people use them in my opinion!

As to Lakewoodlady I agree that some people should not own computers, cars, guns and etc. Some people should not own kitchen knives or gas stoves in case they harm themselves. Some people should not even grow trees in case a child climbs and falls off.

Three or four years ago I repaired a computer which was full of child porn. I made a copy of his hard drive and the guy was convicted and all computers confiscated.

I guess my point is that you can use a computer and the internet to access porn and you can also use a car as a racer etc. You can use the car to get from point A to B within the rules and you can use the computer for other purposes like letter writing, photo editing or whatever.

702530 2008-09-05 18:57:00 The neighbours daughter (in her 50's?) came round yesterday. Brand new Apple imac... didn't have a clue how to do anything with it other than turn it on and browse the net. I have no idea who set it up for her, probably the person who recommended a mac to her (family member). She had noted however that at some peoples places, when she turned it on, it didn't connect to the net, at others it did (open routers I assume, she was using wireless)

Was having problems with answering emails, but only on TradeMe.
Couldn't understand why when she replied to the TradeMe "You have a question on your auction" emails, the person being replied to wasn't receiving the answer

She wasn't actually replying to the person at all, just TradeMe :waughh:
