| 702135 | 2008-09-03 00:56:00 | No tech will be short of work as long as MS continues to do whatever it is that they are doing ;) Add to that the fact that Companies like telecom are running ad's for McAfee - the Ad with the Guy on a webcam saying how the Software stops hackers, spyware and viruses and with it it's safe to be on the internet now --- hands up how many Techs believe that load of :waughh: | wainuitech (129) | ||

| 702137 | 2008-09-03 01:17:00 | Well almost, I cant find reason my old W98SE toshiba lappy conks out on network connection after a few minutes. It was fine on XP but with 64mb ram using the thing was a pain Got latest 98 driver but googling for info showed up same frustration as I was having and Dlink not bothering to sort driver out. Dont think upgrading 7 yr old lappy worth it. Computer techs will always have a job because some people dont have the skills to even join a forum and ask a question let alone wield a screwdriver. |

I would say a person's stomach as it holds everything you put in like a pc harddrive. And then the s*** is when your harddrive is to big and you have to get rid of some stuff. Fatter the person equals bigger the harddrive!!! :):banana:clap:punk |

| 702143 | 2008-09-04 10:17:00 | What bugs me is we get customer that says their hdd contains years of their business data or important documents / photos . . . If it's so important, why didn't they do a backup of any kind? Basically, because the O/S doesn't make them do it . They just expect the PC to work, and to continue working for a long time . Not such an unreasonable request me thinks . |
