2008-09-03 00:13:00 | It somehow reminds me of an app one would have on an Eee PC or on a VERY old, slow machine - extremely basic interface, minimal config options and no addon capabilities (as yet). Thumbs down from me. And it installs extra software! Google Updater... :groan:... just like other corps I know of... *cough*Apple*cough*

2008-09-03 00:23:00 | Browser rivals confident they can compete with Google (reseller.co.nz) Browser makers Microsoft, Mozilla. and Opera Software reacted to news that Google is introducing a browser of its own, saying that they welcome the competition and are not afraid of the search giant's move. Personally, with Google's growth history, I would have thought the attitude "Be afraid, be very afraid" might be more appropriate... But I think Google Chrome has a little way to go yet, before it gets huge support from the masses....

2008-09-03 04:47:00 | Google is financing Firefox and probably have access to everything learned in Firefox development for Chrome. It seems very fast and at first glance quite good. Apparently Firefox 3.1, due out soon, is going to have significant changes making it much faster than 3.01, optimization of the code resulting in a much slicker feel.

I like it for what it is at the moment, and being completely open-source, we'll no doubt see add-ons soon enough. |

2008-09-03 06:18:00 | I installed Chrome. My next move will uninstall. IE8 Beta works for me on all pages I have loaded. At least they have a sense of humour it comes up with "Was it something we said" in the uninstall.

2008-09-03 06:33:00 | The ONLY reason why I have ANY IE at all . . is to get SP-Xx and updates to their anti-vir . Otherwise, I'd chuck IE as far as I could . I'm dyed in the wool . . FF and Google user . . . . but then if I ever get to make a clean install of PCL . . . well, maybe I'll use FF and Google there too .
