2009-10-23 20:29:00 | Bug wise it doesn't look like its infected ( from what I can see) you can remove the following entries; O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file) O16 - DPF: {CF40ACC5-E1BB-4AFF-AC72-04C2F616BCA7} (get_atlcom Class) - wwwimages.adobe.com O20 - Winlogon Notify: avgrsstarter - avgrsstx.dll (file missing) Hopefully If Speedy can have a look at this, there are a few things that could be taken out to improve the performance a bit - hes the person to advice on that. This Laptop sometime had Symantec / norton on it, if you want to ( but dont have to) download Norton Removal Tool (service1.symantec.com) and run it to remove some of the left over entries. Edited: this thread would have been better to carry on from the previous one - So others can see any previous problems - I'll PM a MOD to merge them.

2009-10-24 00:30:00 | I've highlighted them as suggested, thanks. | kfoffice (9242) | |
2009-10-24 00:32:00 | Did you tick fix checked after? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2009-10-24 03:11:00 | Yep. I shut down laptop and restarted it, so far so good. | kfoffice (9242) | |
2009-10-24 03:18:00 | By the way, Wainuitech recommended that I run fullscan of Spybot S & D, Spyware Terminator, and Malwarebytes, on my laptop. I've done that now. The laptop looks to be running faster. My question is whether I continue to run all these three programs (when I strat the laptop everytime) as well as MS Security Essential, or just a couple of them? | kfoffice (9242) | |
2009-10-24 03:26:00 | You can have all of them on the hdd. BUT, I wouldnt have them running in the background at the same time. They'll probably conflict. I would also disable teatimer, if its configured to run on startup | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2009-10-24 03:35:00 | Ok thanks. | kfoffice (9242) | |
