| 704271 | 2008-09-10 20:22:00 | Parked my car at my mates apartment last night and came to pick up my car this morning... and saw a huge dent on the side of my car! (the handle came off too! go figure...) yeah, this is in akl city and someone hit my car and didn't leave any note to apologize... farm4.static.flickr.com Is it really worth the expense and effort to try to locate the perpetrator or involve the police? I've heard similar stories before that a police report will be sent to the insurance company, and even if you don't file a claim, they will increase your premiums because of the "risky behavior" - of parking in a parking lot! Anyone knows a good panelbeating / body repair shop? Many thanks! :o) |

(My windows were smashed while parked in a public carpark in Auckland central) Visit a couple of panelbeaters and get some quotes. Then you can work out weather it is worth claiming on insurance. |

I’ve always thought they had the most secured parking sites (despite the premium rates they were charging!) I guess I shouldn't have left my entertainment book in plain view. Lesson learnt! |

I have found Wilson to be very good to deal with, and unless it was a big ute or SUV or something, you'd expect more damage lower down, I would put my money on someone with a hammer or crowbar trying to break in. This is why I don't live in a big city. :dogeye: |
