| 703538 | 2008-09-08 21:01:00 | You need a UHF aerial to receive FreeviewHD . If you can get Prime or the Maori channel clearly then you most likely have a UHF aerial . If not then only VHF . You also need to live in an area where FreeviewHD is being broadcast . It is not available everywhere in NZ, only the Freeview via satellite is, which is not HD . Hi . I have just checked and we receive both Prime and Maori channels . Maori channel is very clear (similar to DVD :) ), but prime is as clear as Maori channel though, its just a very little grainy picture . I live in Avondale, off Rosebank Road in Auckland and no hills nearby :) So i guess i have UHF antenna . Woohoo $185 save some money from installing an UHF antenna :) So what am i doing wrong, while installing the Zinwell decoder? i cant c anything on the TV . I connected it through HDMI cable . But when i selected HDMI from the LCD remote, its says NO HDMI device detected . Please help . Thanks |

| 703539 | 2008-09-08 21:03:00 | Also is Vista the best OS for this? i personally dont like vista as its a power hog and not hugely better than XP. Thanks It's your only option - AFAIK you can't buy XP Media Centre Edition anyway. Try Vista anyway - you'll soon be convinced. ;) |

| 703540 | 2008-09-08 21:34:00 | Also main reason i chose the "Shuttle XPC" case becos of the size. I dont want a huge tower Case in my TV cabinet. So about the silverstone case, how big are they? I am probably going to use the Antec Fusion case for my HTPC c1com.co.nz Here are some Silverstone ones - I just used that brand as an example as I knew they do a lot of different HTPC cases c1com.co.nz c1com.co.nz c1com.co.nz c1com.co.nz And here's a Thermaltake case c1com.co.nz Seriously look at the Antec one - I think it's a nice looking case which will go well in my home theatre rack. As for the keyboard - this is the model I have c1com.co.nz Here is a mini one c1com.co.nz And this is a nice option as well (although a bit more than the $160 you quoted in you post!) c1com.co.nz As for OS - I would definitely go Vista Premium - the inbuilt media centre works well and you won't have any perfromance problems especially if you go for the 4GB Ram. Good luck! |

Its around the same price as Vista Home Premium OEM. |

| 703543 | 2008-09-09 08:07:00 | Can you get half height tv tuner cards? You could get a much smaller case if there is such a thing. | Greven (91) | ||

Edit: From my suppliers site - RRP: $99.00 I actually got one of These (www.avermedia.com) in mine, running a straight XP - works good, has an additional software for freeview, but dont use it I have Telstra/Saturn . |

| 703545 | 2008-09-09 10:10:00 | Antec Fusion is so full of awesome its leaking all over the place, color scheme is a great match for most modern panel screens. Takes full height cards and psu's and is roomy enough to work inside without loosing any skin :) | kersonan (13264) | ||
