If it is, it seems to be a common issue with SP3. One reply pointed to this (support.microsoft.com). Another pointed to this (support.microsoft.com) and this (support.microsoft.com)

That looks exactly like my problem thanks Speedy.
I will get the hotfix and apply it today and see what happens, fingers crossed!

824797 2009-10-30 00:11:00 Well I fixed :D
When I checked again all the workstations are actually only running SP2 so none of those hotfixes, that you linked to speedy, worked.
That long thread did provide a few other things to try and the one that fixed it:

I had to share a folder on the workstation, that has the printer attached, that was having the problem.
Then on the Toshiba, that was having the problem connecting to the shared printer, I mapped a network drive to the shared folder but used the option to 'Connect using a different user name'. - I did this by right-clicking on My Network Places and selecting 'Map Network Drive' and then putting in the path 'workstation\sharename'
I then put in the username and password that was being used on the Toshiba, that I had also setup on the other workstation, and it worked!
I was then able browse the workstation as normal again, over the network, and install the shared printer!

So for some reason the Toshiba was trying to access the other workstation with some cached credentials that weren't correct so that is why the error was coming up.
