705135 2008-09-14 06:24:00 I'm sitting here while on my other puter . . . looking at "Bones" on HULU . . . and I noticed something I don't understand .

HULU is bringing me really quality, full-screen videos . . . . . great color, no busted drop-outs or bad sound . . . in fact it's 2 . 0 stereo . I watch full-sized movies . . . one I just watched is "Captain and Commander" . I recommend it very much!

Anyway . . . . . I also see that my DSL lights are not blinking very much . . . . . . meaning that I am not running full-tilt downloading packets of data .

Now . . . . . . YouTube requires massive amounts of band spread to get crappy vids in mono . . . so . . . . how's it done by HULU?

Unlike YouTube, HULU can go for 10 seconds at a time with no packets delivered at all .

Download and install the (free) "Hotspot Shield". I've used it to view Hulu and other geolocation restricted sites, and it works really well.

pctek?

Joe: I think Hulu uses a new form of compression for its streaming videos which Youtube doesn't, hence it results in smaller file sizes.

705143 2008-09-14 08:49:00 Hulu also doesn't try to prebuffer the entire video like youtube does. Erayd (23)

Is this program for wireless connections only? Can I use it on a wired connection?
