| 825589 | 2009-10-30 06:32:00 | Why would an export from IE6 (favorites) become a Firefox bookmark.html file unable to be read by IE ( import )on the recipient machine ? XP sp3 both computers If Firefox is default browser on recipient would this have some effect ? It is not default on export machine. Any ideas ? |

| 825591 | 2009-10-30 07:13:00 | yes thats correct. Somehow the file ( big blue E ) changes to a firefox compatible file that IE says it can't import when trying to import to 2nd computer's IE. Doesn't make sense to me either ! |

| 825592 | 2009-10-30 07:17:00 | I think I see whats up. When you export out of IE it asks for which folder you want export from. Seem to be exporting firefox Bookmarks instead of IE favorites even though I am operating out of IE. Simple ? |

| 825593 | 2009-10-30 07:18:00 | It doesn't change the file. The change of icon is only because Firefox is the default handler for html files on that specific machine.. Try this rather than the built in importer/exporter www.favbrowser.com I would try upgrading to IE8 or at least IE7 too.. Blam |
