825098 2009-10-29 00:33:00 Hi, I would like to encrypt or lock one folder on my Thunderbird emails. No it's not pornographic :-) just would like some way to keep it private. Would prefer something simple to set up and hopefully free. Dundee (10967)
825099 2009-10-29 00:54:00 Probably something like truecrypt. But if you use it I wouldnt forget the code/password. Or you'll never get in it again. Altho if you lock it, it may not be able to write to it. I'm not sure if it can do folders in something like emails tho Speedy Gonzales (78)

We're talking abot emails in TB here, not folders in WE...

I've searched through and there don't seem to be any addons for it, and google seems to reveal nothing..

Thats OK. We all make mistakes:o

Dundee: If you ever find a solution to this problem, be sure to list it in this thread. Seems that many people are looking for something like this on the web...

825106 2009-10-29 07:55:00 Give DiddlyDo (mac.softpedia.com) a try -
DiddlyDo for ThunderBird extension can password protect *either* All of TB or just certain folders.

Edited;
Note that the foldername checker *is* case-sensitive.. so if you put in "inbox" and your folder name is "Inbox" then you will not get prompted for a password Bit more about it (forum.addonsmirror.net)

825107 2009-10-29 08:01:00 Just tried DiddlyDo, and it looks like it isn't compatible with 2.0+... Blam (54)
