705562 2008-09-25 10:47:00 I have no idea, as those emails weren't sent to me. The ad dept brought up this one email, maybe there were more :) I'm all for more people letting the right people know when something is wrong, or they're not happy with things.

I'm continously trying to get the clock fixed, or even better, create a solution where this doesn't happen anymore. The problem is that most people in here seem to think i have ultimate power and knowledge when it comes to this site and forum. I don't. I have no reason to want the clock to be wrong, trust me.

i.am.trying.

yes very easy - so all we need to do formulate the time differential for the day (today seems to be 34 mins ) and add that to the post times, then subtract that from the time on the system tray clock, and we'll know how long ago the post was made... crazy, but it works I suppose

I've done just that. Metrognome now has a new tool to fix the clock on-the-fly (pressf1.co.nz) :banana.

705563 2008-09-25 11:33:00 Sorry Jan, I don't mean to sound like I'm getting at you personally, and I know you would probably like nothing better than to have the clock/post times correct and no ads at all etc - unfortunately, you are nearly the only "face" of PC world that communicates and responds here at all. bevy121 (117)
705564 2008-09-25 12:52:00 So the clock doesnt work.....

oooohhhh that must mean we are doomed for all eternity as we cant see the clock on our watches or pc or phones or wall clocks or alarm clocks or microwaves or dvd players or stereos blah blah blah blah

705565 2008-09-26 00:21:00 Obliviously you're not very good at sarcasm Rob ...

does looking at your watch etc etc tell you the times of the thread posts?

which in case you didnt know, is the whole point of having forum timestamps

705566 2008-09-26 03:34:00 Bevy: does looking at your watch etc etc tell you the times of the thread posts?

which in case you didnt know, is the whole point of having forum timestamps

And it makes a good solid alibi if one should need one if one were so inclined....to need an alibi, that is, for a certain time and NOT the wrong time...if that were possible.

Here it comes: This post is not legal tender for alibis and timestamps of legal significance.

Well, not forever, just 'til the end. ;)
If the clock is kaput, we won't know how nigh we are. :banana

705570 2008-09-27 19:54:00 And the clock watchers will be nigh on apolexy since daylight saving slipped past the clock's guard.
The end is not as nigh as it should be.
