Global warming is highly debatable whereas the climate is and always has been in a state of change.

Its a matter of keeping perspective. We cannot predict the future. Man can influence his/her environment but only after many years can we see if we have any effect. According to some "experts", humanity nearly died out 70,000 years due to a volcanic event. Of course we didn't. We may well yet, helped by humankind. Only time will tell.
