| 706424 | 2008-09-19 23:32:00 | Have you seen the signs extolling your vote for the Labour Party? Particularly those with a likeness of Mzzzzzz Helen Clark? She either employs a very good makeup artist or the photo touchups are very well done as she looks almost human, which is a marked change from her many television interviews. Obviously, what you see if not necessarily what you get. False advertising? | Roscoe (6288) | ||
| 706425 | 2008-09-19 23:39:00 | Only if you vote for a face rather than policies and leadership. And voting for a face would be shallow, wouldn't it? Wait, I think I now understand the point you are making. | John H (8) | ||
| 706426 | 2008-09-19 23:50:00 | I met her once, and she looked far more soft and feminine than most of her TV interviews. I guess she was just schmoozing, and not putting on the PM hat. I'm not going to push the 'soft and feminine' too far though. She was still her Helenness. Speaking of which, has anyone here seen the play "On the possibilities and conditions of Helen Clark taking me as her young lover"? Really random, but funny. |

| 706427 | 2008-09-20 00:00:00 | Hmm... maybe this would justify a complaint to the Commerce Commission under the Fair-Trading Act for misleading advertising (product not matching the description). Or... a complaint to the Broadcasting Standards Authority??? | somebody (208) | ||

Maybe that's a reflection on the TV interviewers. For every stupid answer by any Politician in the spotlight there's plenty of stupid questions. |

Wait, I think I now understand the point you are making. Glad you're with us, John. Lived next door to an asian gentleman some years back. Asked him how often they had an election in China and he said, "Everly night." |

Roscoe - do you care what John Keys looks like? Or any of the National caucus for that matter (any one of which will, it's almost guaranteed, replace Keys in the leadership coup that will take place as soon as he leaves the country on official business - as National does almost as a matter of course...) ? |

It was not so much a matter of what she looks like. I don't care. I was just commenting on the fact that the "Vote Labour" signs had a rather distorted image and, as has already been suggested by Somebody - with tongue firmly planted in cheek - that a complaint should be taken to the Commerce Commission? |
