RIP Richard, may you make great music where ever you now are.

705430 2008-09-15 23:17:00 Hate to say it, but I think Pink Floyd is/was one of the most pretentious, self-indulgent & overrated bands in modern history.

Wish You Were Here is a great song though. :p

705431 2008-09-16 00:35:00 Rule of thumb - everything said before the word "but" is bulls%#t. Go on, you enjoyed saying it.

RIP - the band has never been as good since those early days.

Did you really know them?

Your opinion, but then I don't really care what you think :stare: .

Just listening to the Pulse DVD recorded live in 1994 at Earls Court in London. The version of Money is just so good (warning - thats my opinion and its very subjective).

I always remember when I heard Dark Side of the Moon for the first time. Never will I forget it.

Long live great music.

None taken (I can't see your non verbal communication of course). Of course I respect your opinion :)

I too recall when I first heard Dark Side of the Moon. A young guy I knew had just come out of Porirua Hospital, and was desperate to play it for me. He was just thrilled to hear a song that included "the loonies on the grass" - it made him feel he was not alone. :) Hey, that was 34 years ago... Sigh.
