705077 2008-09-13 23:02:00 Have a web page that ftp a security cam picture to (once a minute) – just use VI on a capture card and a small application called ConquerCam.
Ok works fine but would like to use the capture card for another application.
Now excuse my ignorance here – what sort of standalone units are there to connect to the network, have VI and can ftp to a web page?
Not wanting to spend mega bucks………!
Many thanks

705082 2008-09-14 01:17:00 I've come across a couple of IP-connected webcams which do this sort of thing. I think D-Link make one, though it's quite expensive. somebody (208)

You will need something which can connect to your camera, capture the image, and do the upload. The closest thing is either a DVR or a camera which has that functionality built in.

You might be better off buying a cheap 2nd hand PC for $100 and setting that up to do it.
