| 705045 | 2008-09-13 22:15:00 | If I were to take my dvd player in for repair saying that I kept losing the picture, should the repairer have checked the component output as well as the composite? DVD player came back with the repairer saying he could find no fault, and I suddenly realised this morning that we didn't tell him we were using component output... Just wondering... Mike. |

The wise customer will leave a written explanation of the fault, including that it only happens on Tuesday between 3pm and 4pm, or only when great-aunt Mabel is sitting on the sofa, or only when the dog is dragging the device around the kitchen floor! But if the fault is still there you should take it back and tell the repairer! |

| 705049 | 2008-09-14 04:07:00 | I imagine he would have only tested the composite output with out further details of the problem. Like PaulD says, Be likely to be cheaper to just buy a new one, unless it's a flash one and you want to keep it. |

| 705051 | 2008-09-14 06:35:00 | My problem is that it was under warranty last week when we first took it in for repair... but it is no longer under warranty, so if I take it back now I'll have to pay for it  Mike. |

| 705052 | 2008-09-14 07:09:00 | Shouldn't have to pay for it, you took it in under warranty and they didn't fix it, so the same problem is still there. | wainuitech (129) | ||

Take it back, they will honor the repair for you, I'm sure. |
