825457 2009-10-30 00:28:00 hi guys I'm looking at buying a wireless keyboard and mouse for my laptop but i have been overwhelmed by all the products and prices.
What would you guys recommend?
I don't really want to spend over $150 and would be happier if i spent less but do the cheaper ones perform badly?
What models would you recommend and how much should i spend?
Also Microsoft vs Logitech which brand is better?

Thanks for any help, Cheers

825458 2009-10-30 00:31:00 I'm using the logitech ex-90 and deluxe 600 here. Theyre fine so far. These were only $55-59 each. But you'll have to buy rechargeable batteries, if you dont want to buy them all the time Speedy Gonzales (78)
825459 2009-10-30 00:36:00 I've had relatively good experiences with both MS and Logitech. You can even get a nice MS Keyboard & Mouse combo from FirstIn today for $30-40 I think?

I've had a variety of Logitech & MS keyboards, basically as long as you're not gaming you should be fine, even with the cheap $40 ones from pbtech etc

Most important question: Why Wireless? Is it for a Media PC or something and you don't want cables across your living room floor?

825460 2009-10-30 00:58:00 IMO don't touch anything that's not Logitech or Microsoft for wireless mice and keyboards.

They are both excellent brands, the Logitech EX-90 is a good entry level mouse and keyboard, you could have a look at that and work your way up from there. :)

825461 2009-10-30 01:13:00 i want to connect my laptop to our 46inch lcd tv in the lounge and dont want to be stuck 2m away from the tv. It will mainley be used for surfing the net and some light gaming(single player). I Dont care for any gaming features/extras and just want a comfortable, reliable wireless ketboard and mouse so i can relax at the coffee table and couch. viperviperviper006 (15202)
825462 2009-10-30 01:17:00 Anything from MS or Logitech will be fine for that sort of usage. inphinity (7274)
825463 2009-10-30 02:08:00 Logitech wave is really good. M$ ergonomic ones are too, but can be hard to get used to.. Blam (54)
