707577 2008-09-25 00:58:00 I couldda thought fer sure that this was a Monty Python routine, but somehow I see it was an Australian Politician explaining how "..these things aren't supposed to happen...the front falling off...."

LINK (www.youtube.com):clap

Maybe youse guys have seen it already and tried to hide this Australian national shame...

Too Late...it's out in the Northern Hemisphere now but it takes a little time to get up here.

707578 2008-09-25 00:59:00 Fred Dagg (John Clarke) is a NZ comedian, taking the piss out of Aussie in that case, and he's brilliant. :)

IMO that's one of his best ones.

Kick her in the guts Trev.

Oh, star of wonder, star of light
Star of beauty she'll be right
Star of glory that's the story
Following yonder star

A Yank or even Cannuck cannot tell the difference if youse guys are greenin' us or not. I thinks it's the facial expressions...or lack of them.

707585 2008-09-25 19:11:00 Last night SWMBO and I went to the Hastings Opera House for the Mahora Primary School's "Great Kiwiana Concert"

All of the schools 350 kids were on the stage at once in a huge semicircle on tiered seats, and as their turn came up they trooped down the front to do their bit

Heaps of the songs were Fred Dagg's - a bunch of first year kids did the Gumboot song. Gosh they were funny.

My Year 2 grandaughter's class did a song about "Dad loves watching rugby" Of course that was the best item of the night... bless them :wub

Seemed a coincidence after this thread staring yesterday.
