707193 2008-09-23 09:15:00 What has the world come to, where people are too lazy to cook and "outsource" such tasks?

That's hard to believe!

707197 2008-09-23 19:00:00 Nah... I'm the cook as SWMBO still works full time. I enjoy cooking and am told I am pretty good at it.

Just if I could find someone to sort out what is for dinner each day... that is the bummer of a job.

707198 2008-09-23 20:09:00 I never cooked until I was 30 y.o., in the early years of my life we had house servants then my wife cooked for me, later, girl friends, but at 30 I was on my own l.o.l. Don't know why they made such a fuss and bother about it, it is easy, ditto house work, easy as well, don't know what all the fuss was about. zqwerty (97)

But it would be interesting to here a bit more about this - where did you grow up, zqwerty? India? Rhodesia? South Africa?

Ditto to both your sentances.

Wife used to cook some rubbish when we were first married 25 years ago so I took over cooking. I get to have what I want as much as anything. I watch a lot of FoodTV which gets my Daughter a bit nervous as I tend to experiment a bit then.

On the odd weekend when Wife does cook the aftermath just hardly seems worthwhile letting her cook. I could cut up cabbage with a chainsaw tidier than she does it with a knife, it tends to be all over the kitchen and even ventures into the next room at times.
