Unlike Labour, whose ranks are filled with career politicians who have never had a real job in their lives and ex-beneficiaries, all of whom know what is best for everyone else: "Be reasonable, do it my way".

Yeah, right!

Pity I initially misread it.

As opposed to Labour who deem fit to tell me how much my family needs to live per week via over taxing and making me apply for a hand out?.....Talk about DOUBLE administration!

Also, what is wrong with a party of rich people, do you know think, they must be slightly more clever than average joe to get there riches?, or are you just jealous?

Is that it zqwerty, are you a commie?, cant stand for other people to be more successful than you?

706627 2008-09-24 09:46:00 Name an enterprise that politicians have run successfully, they cannot even sell a government Trading Department for a realistic price.
Look at the privatisation of NZ rail - the government reaped less than the scrap value of the steel in its assets.
When it comes to business enterprises Governments and Civil Servants have a reverse Midas touch.
In the UK it was revealed that over 50% of the National Health Budget was consumed in administration - is NZ better - I doubt it.
Enterprise, Wealth Creation - when can a politician or civil servant genuinely claim credit for it? They do but it is someone else's effort.
The government is the biggest business in the land, so why are incompetent self serving buffoons with hidden agendas consistently elected to run it.

Because anyone that can run a successful business is trying to do exactly that - they haven't the time or energy to be constantly poking about making value judgements/rulings for everyone else!!!

706629 2008-09-24 09:57:00 The politicians have a great track record at running conventions, presentations etc. as well as running a whole bunch of things into the ground. They can run the political pension fund pretty well, any business would envy those growth figures. R2x1 (4628)

While I mostly agree with you if private enterprise is so great why have we as tax payers had to bail out the BNZ, Air New Zealand and the railways. I have possibly missed one or two.
