They're a bit like sales people or lawyers - you want them because they are good at their job, and it isn't a particularly nice job and it doesn't usually suit particularly nice people . You want people who'll look after the country's best interests, and if that means doing an about face, or lying, or stabbing people, or indeed, entire countries, in the back, then so be it . They do it, so we can kid ourselves we didn't . The problem we have is that our scumbag politicians aren't scumbag enough . We should import some Aussies . |
