707203 2008-09-24 01:52:00 What has the world come to, where people are too lazy to cook and "outsource" such tasks?

707204 2008-09-24 04:10:00 Ditto to both your sentances.

Wife used to cook some rubbish when we were first married 25 years ago so I took over cooking. I get to have what I want as much as anything. I watch a lot of FoodTV which gets my Daughter a bit nervous as I tend to experiment a bit then.

On the odd weekend when Wife does cook the aftermath just hardly seems worthwhile letting her cook. I could cut up cabbage with a chainsaw tidier than she does it with a knife, it tends to be all over the kitchen and even ventures into the next room at times.

He he he.... I don't do fancy desserts, so, when we are having friends round, SWMBO makes the pud. She is a great cook, always has been but when she has finished, My kitchen is a real mess, bless her :wub

707205 2008-09-24 04:34:00 Grew up in Northern Rhodesia, everyone had house servants, after Independence President Kaunda said that all Europeans/Foreigners were to continue to employ house servants so that they could learn modern ways, especially the women as they were to bring up the next generation of Zambians and were key to teaching their own children. zqwerty (97)
707206 2008-09-24 04:50:00 I outsource all my cooking to MCDonalds. They are more than happy to oblige, but it doesn't do my pocket any favours. wratterus (105)

The best thing I make for dinner is reservations.

707209 2008-09-24 12:33:00 You did?! Tell us more!

Whats so surprising? We've always had atleast 3 cooks back in India, even now when theres only 2 people in the house.

707210 2008-09-24 19:16:00 I did do all the cooking and looks like I might have to start again as SWMBO has started dosing everything with Garlic which she knows I hate, and they wonder why it repels the devil. I prefer to actually be able to taste my food without that disgusting taste inhibitor gary67 (56)

707212 2008-09-25 06:32:00 Garlic is great in a lot of meals, but too much can ruin it & some meals can't handle any garlic at all.

I don't often eat very well on weekdays because I'm hungry & tired when I get home & don't feel like cooking. I usually just grab whatever fruit is in the fridge & something I can have ready to eat in less than 10 minutes.
